This hard plastic contact ring is an option that can be used instead of the standard latex contact ring. The advantages are:

• Bigger outer diameter that insures easier parallel alignment to flat surfaces. On vertical surfaces the X-Loupe stands without being supported.
• Fixed distances to surfaces because the hard material can not be compressed.
• The contact ring is clicked onto the front of the X-Loupe lenses.
